If you are new to the idea of going to church, or haven’t been for a long while, it can be difficult or daunting to walk through the door. You may worry about what happens once you are inside. Where can you sit? What if you don’t know the words? What if you do something at the wrong time? Once you are in, will you be able to get out? How can you escape being overwhelmed by helpful people? What about that business where people shake hands, in the ‘peace’? Will people talk about you? Will they judge what you are wearing, whether or not you sing or be critical of how your children behaved?
At St Mary’s we are inclusive.
God equally loves everybody and we try to reflect that in our welcome and in our worship.
You are most welcome here today and every time.
