About Us
St Mary’s Catholic Church is a new Church and Parish Complex built in December 1998, Consecrated March 1999.
Our Buildings might be fairly new (12 years), but our faith and our original St Mary’s, on the same site, reminds us of the long history of our parish and of our Catholic Faith that goes back to the time of the Apostles.
The Church was Consecrated by Bishop Reagn Bishop of Wrexham on 12th March 1999.
The Catholic Community of Bridgend continues to grow; Mass is celebrated daily (view our Mass Times here) . We have the pastoral care of the large Filipino community, Polish community and the people of Bridgend. A monthly Mass is celebrated for the Polish and Filipino communities.

Parish Treasurer
“Born and educated in Cardiff I originally moved to Bridgend in 1994. After marrying Sarah in 1996 (our marriage training was completed by Fr Gareth – his first couple) we moved out of the parish shortly after Father Isaac moved in (no correlation honest!). We returned in 2001 with Adam in tow, Toby quickly followed and then in 2005 Katy was born. The Children are all pupils at St Mary’s primary school.
About 3 yrs ago Fr Isaac suggested I volunteer to get involved in the parish treasury and I have not looked back ever since. Paying off the debt has been the main focus and 2010 will see this realized. My next aim is maximise gift aid contributions and to convert as many people as possible to give by direct debit thus minimising the cost to the parish and workload for the counters. The treasury work is always very interesting and if you would like to help in anyway, or would like more information on donating to the parish please let me know.”
